Search box to always search globally
Currently search box is something like filter for currenly selected label. And you should always remember to switch to "All cards". But i think it should search globally in any case.
Or at least search should be started globally and then user may filter the results by labels.
Also search should search anywhere. I am not telling that currently it is not like this - i am not sure. But seems like fields names are not included in search.

I think I might have come up with an idea that might like.
Check it out, maybe vote it, it's titled: « Sort by MOST USED (both when searching and when just opened the app) »

As about your specific matter:
I think Michael Geary proposed a great compromise; Make all searches global, but split the result list, so that matches in the current label are at the top, followed by a separator line(labeled «Results from All Entries/Cards), and then all other matches.

In any case, my suggestion, if implemented, can make search and general use that much better, don't you think?

I wrote this in September... I do not know why I can see "privately" but not as a public comment... anyway, I'm posting again!
I have, with great disappointment, realized only now that I have completed the migration from another database that the search is NOT done on my "added field" with type "Secret"!
Please give us (eventually with option in settings) to search in EVERY field type, included the "masked" ones! -

Michael Geary's suggestion is perfect: best of both worlds.

This is my top priority for usability improvements. I generally leave the mobile app on "Favorites", and I have no real need to search through them at all - I only have a screenful or two of favorites.
So when I do a search for a site that is not in my Favorites, what would be more useful to me: a search list that includes what I searched for, or an empty search list? The answer should be obvious.
You really don't even need a user option here. Simply do this: Make all searches global, but split the result list, so that matches in the current label are at the top, followed by a separator line, and then all other matches. That should satisfy everyone's needs in a very clean and simple way.

Can't believe the search box doesn't work globally. It should at least give you an option to search globally or in the current selected label.

Search in the field names would be helpful for me.

It should also search in the card name itself, but agree with your suggestion

When we search in-app and if a label is selected, the search only checks within that label. I get it at its like that. But sometimes you're in hurry and searching for something quickly doesn't turn up anything and you're left wondering if you've spelled it right etc. So maybe you can add a line in the search results with the option 'search in all cards' or something like that.

This is one of the major usability improving ideas. +3 votes!
I personally had brought forward this idea to the developer via email a few months ago before this suggestions forum existed.
