My implementation on msWindows has the option to sync with "WebDAV (NAS, ownCloud...)". that is your option. WebDAV is the protocol to use, it uses an http or https line to the storage. Qnap and synology can do webdav with several implementations, ownCloud is one of them.

If this is on androud: add your andriod account to your wife-s device. BE SURE TO REMOVE ALL SYNC IMMEDIATLY to avoid overloading with mail and photos and such. Now you can add applicaitons you have bought in the appstore to your wife-s device.

This can peek at passwordsafe: There you can say 'type at window'. That somehow mimics the keyboard so there is nothing in the cut-copy-paste buffers. At PasswordSafe you can specify the typed keys. The default is "<username>\t<password>\n"

The way the firefox add-on works is the best. First give the password to the safe-in-cloud database, then populate the login/passwd fields. Automatically if there is only one entry, selected from a sublist if there are multiple entries.

I'd say it would be nice to be able to sort the cards in view to any of the fields in the card, Including the field 'modified: ....' that is at the end. Then you can sort the cards and see which one are beyond age.

My first idea is that this can be provided by having a 'read-only' way to use the file. An additional password that just gives read-only access to the database.

On second thought, the extended way can be to give this 'in-case-of' access read-only access to some fields, no-access to some fields and read/add access to some fields (like notes fields) to be able to add a note to the notes fiels.

In the end, the usage by this 'in-case-of' access should somehow be logged somewhere, like on the card itself and if the system is capable of sending messages (mails, notes, whatsapp, ....) to this message.
